About AFRICAN CHILD PRIZE ACP

Professor Rim-Rukeh Akpofure served as the Professor of Microbial Corrosion and Environmental Studies at the University before his appointment as Vice-Chancellor.
He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Port Harcourt in 1986. In 2004, he completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Education at Delta State University, Abraka. Furthermore, he earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Chemistry from the University of Benin in 1993, followed by a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt in 1998.
Professor Akpofure concluded his academic journey by attaining a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, in 2008.
